Following on from my Year of Health post, I thought I’d share an update. I’ve signed up to a walking challenge, racking up 1000 miles over the course of the year!

The challenge is in conjunction with Country Walking magazine and there’s an app to log your miles and a Facebook group which is brilliant. It’s filled with people taking part, sharing photos of their walks which is so inspiring.

As I wrote this, I’m 18 days in and I’ve walked 81 miles so far. My aim is to try and do 100 a month so if I do have months where I don’t manage it, I’m on track to hit target at the end of the year.
I’ve been off to a flying start thanks to the absolutely gorgeous January weather and I’ve been loving spending my weekends getting outdoors with Molly in tow!

Thanks Lisa! It’s just a great way to get outside all year round rather than forcing myself in January and then reverting back to smaller shorter walks and being indoors!
