As we head into the final few days of September and autumn really starts to take hold, thanks to sunny fresh morning and falling leaves, is it acceptable to start to mention the C word? Well, I’m going to anyway!
I’m a big fan of the festive period, but only when we enter December. Anything else feels a little too early. But when an invitation landed in my mailbox from the Titanic Hotel, inviting me to their Christmas party showcase, I couldn’t say no!
It was my first visit to the elusive hotel, tucked away along the Dock road and I couldn’t wait to see what was in store! Upon entering the hotel lobby and walking through the large bar area, I was pleasantly surprised that the interiors and overall ambiance was just as lovely as I’d imagined. We made our way to the large open-plan event space, alongside the River Mersey innings, which sits alongside the hotel.
The room was beautifully decorated, complete with dancers, prosecco on arrival and an array of festive table settings, ready for us to sit down to our first Christmas dinner of 2017! If our Christmas do wasn’t already booked, I’d be mithering my bosses for us to have it at the Titanic as the finishing touches really made for a memorable evening.
We were given a sneak peek of the entertainment available throughout the festive period, the menu choices; catering for vegetarians as well as the classic turkey roast with all the trimmings and the surprises designed to break up each course and get up and dancing!
Costing at a little under £60 per head for welcome drinks, a three-course meal and assorted bottles of wine on the table, it proves to be a viable option for many workplaces in the city. I love a classic Christmas do and the Titanic had all the makings plus added extra’s to make the evening sparkle. I truly believe you could happily spend the evening at the hotel and have a great time, without having to leave the venue.
